Solution to Problem 1：

The wavelength of the radio signals  is λ=c/ƒo=25m.Clearly for Θ=0 and Θ=π/2 the interference is constrcutive .The amplitude of the signal picked up by the plane is twice the amplitude of the signal to the tower alone .Since intensity is proportional to the square of the amplitude,the intensity recevied is I=4I

For destrcutive interfernce we sovie

l sin(θ)=(2n+1)λ/2

where l = 100 m is the tower separation and n is aninteger . This is standard  two  source  interfernce  with the receiwer much farther way than the  spacing the sources .The angular heading  that result from

this are θ=7.2,22.0,38.7,and61.0. A heading of 30 corresponds to constructive interference and the signal  strength from the towers would be a maximum.
