STANDARDIZED TEST REQUIREMENTS
SAT or ACT
Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) is required for all non-native English speakers
Rensselaer allows most students to self-report test scores on the application or through their application portal (available after an application is submitted). Students who choose to enroll at Rensselaer will be required to send their official scores from the testing agency (if they have not already done so). Students applying to an accelerated program in law or medicine will be required to send official scores at the time of application (see below).
All standardized tests must be taken by December 31 (by November 30 for Physician-Scientist Program/accelerated medical program applicants).
If you take multiple tests, Rensselaer will superscore the SAT, but will consider only the highest composite score on the ACT.
Rensselaer does not require the writing section of the SAT or the ACT, except for accelerated law/medical program applicants (see below).
SAT Subject tests are not required, except for some accelerated program applicants
解释:
1. 所有申请者必须提交SAT/ACT成绩,申请者可自主选择是否提交writing(除了法律和医学专业)
WHAT'S REQUIRED
At least the following minimum scores in each section of the SAT will be required for students who submit
the old SAT: SAT Critical Reading = 500, Mathematics = 460 and Writing = 440.
Effective with the Fall 2018 entering class, the university will require the following minimum scores on
the redesigned SAT: SAT Reading = 24, Writing and Language = 25, and Math = 24.
On the ACT, a minimum score of 19 on the Reading section and 19 on the Math section.
UF admissions does not have a preference for one exam over the other. We encourage you to take whichever exam suits you best. While UF will not mix scores from old and new versions of the SAT, we will consider the highest "subscores" from the same version of the SAT if you take the test multiple times. We will not mix or combine ACT subscores. If you choose to take both exams, we will consider whichever score is most competitive for admission.
THE REDESIGNED SAT
The redesigned SAT will now consist of two sections (evidence-based reading and writing and math) with an optional essay. The score scale will range from 400 to 1600 with the essay being scored separately. The total test time is now 3 hours (+50 minutes if taking the SAT with essay). There is no penalty for guessing on the redesigned SAT. More information
UF does not require students to the take the essay for the new SAT nor ACT.
解释:
Official SAT or ACT scores
Results from the current redesigned SAT and/or the old SAT will be accepted. When evaluating applicants, we will consider only the highest testing results reported from one version of the test, not across both versions.
Official SAT or ACT scores must be submitted directly and electronically from the College Board/ACT. Your highest section scores across test dates, whether a superscored SAT or superscored ACT, submitted to Lehigh will be considered. We do not prefer one exam over the other. SAT Subject Tests are not required for admissions, but are recommended as college credit may be awarded for scores of 700 or higher. Please read the Advanced Placement section of the course catalog at www.lehigh.edu/catalog for more details.
In special circumstances, where the cost of sending test scores presents a financial hardship to the student or their family, students can request the scores be taken from their transcript or have their counselor submit unofficial scores. However, ultimately if a student is admitted and matriculates to Lehigh official scores must be sent from the testing agency at that time.
解释:
1. 必须提交SAT/ACT成绩
All first-year applicants are required to submit SAT I or ACT scores. You do not have to submit both.
Our office will accept scores from both the old and new SAT tests. For further information, please visit our New SAT Policy page.
First-year applicants must take the SAT I or ACT by October in order to meet the November 1 early action deadline or by December in order to meet the January 15 application deadline. The optional ACT writing test and SAT writing/essay section are neither required nor recommended. The SAT II Subject Tests are also not required.
Reviewing Test Scores
Superscoring
The Office of Admission will superscore the old and new SAT separately, meaning our office will combine the highest section scores from each test date to create the highest total per test. However, we will not combine old and new SAT section scores, as these two tests are scaled differently. It is therefore to your advantage to send our office the results from each time you took the SAT. We do not superscore the ACT.
Concording Scores
When evaluating applications, our Admission Counselors will only consider an applicant's highest test scores. Our office will use the concordance chart below to determine your highest composite score across all three tests - old SAT (superscore), new SAT (superscore), and ACT (highest total). We will convert your new SAT scores based on the 1600 point total (and not by converting individual section scores). For old SAT scores, our office will only consider your 1600 point total (Critical Reading and Math).
Please note: We do not accept test scores sent by email or through your school.
解释:
Send Official Test Scores
We only accept official scores directly from the ACT and/or the SAT. For the ACT, we only consider the English, Math, Reading, and Science sections; for the SAT, we only consider the Reading and Math sections. The Essay and/or Writing sections for both exams are not required for admission. There is no limit to the number of test scores you may submit with your application. If you take the test more than once, please ensure that the testing agency sends us all of your scores as we will superscore your test results. Be sure to complete all testing by the following dates:
· November 1 if applying Early Decision I or Early Action
· January 1 if applying Early Decision II or Regular Decision

TEST SCORES
Scores from either the ACT or the SAT are required and must be sent directly from the testing agency. We do not require the writing portion of either the ACT or the SAT. Our test code is 4656 for the ACT and 1846 for the SAT. Do not send your results rush (SAT) or priority (ACT); we receive all scores electronically on a daily basis so there is not an advantage to rush or priority delivery. We consider the highest composite score obtained in a single test administration as your "official" score, although we will look at all scores reported in an effort to get a true sense of your achievement. Admitted students will typically score between 28-32 on the ACT and 1330-1460 on the SAT, although there is no minimum required score.
To assure consideration in our Early Action competition, students are encouraged to take the ACT or SAT no later than the end of September. For consideration in our Regular Decision competition, students are encouraged to take their test no later than the end of December.
Statement on Score Choice: UW–Madison encourages students to submit all exam scores. It is a benefit to see your complete testing history as part of our comprehensive review, and since we will only consider your highest score (by test date), there is nothing to be gained by suppressing scores through Score Choice. However, applicants are free to use the College Board's Score Choice option for the SAT and/or the similar option offered by ACT.
解释:

All applicants must take the SAT and/or the ACT and have the scores reported directly to the University. Villanova's SAT code number (2959) or ACT code number (3744) should be entered on the form used to register.
Candidates are asked to submit their scores from each sitting of the SAT and/or the ACT understanding that the Admission Committee will superscore the highest Evidence-based Reading and Writing scores and Math scores from the SAT and the highest ACT composite from the subscores from multiple administrations.
With both a Common Application essay and a Villanova essay required with your application, Villanova does not require the optional writing section on either the SAT or ACT.
For Early Action and Early Decision candidates; candidates interested in consideration for the Health Affiliation programs and the Honors Program; and Presidential scholarship nominees, the SAT and ACT must be taken no later than October of the senior year. For Regular Decision candidates, the SAT and/or the ACT must be taken no later than December of the senior year. All scores must be received in the Office of University Admission by the November 1, December 1 or January 15 deadline, respectively.

Standardized Tests
Penn State requires first-year international students to submit an official score from the SAT or ACT examination.
Please note: The writing component of standardized tests (SAT or ACT) is not required. The writing component will not be used as part of our evaluation. If your test scores include the writing component, by all means, have those scores sent to Penn State. Additionally, we do not require SAT Subject Tests.
Please visit the College Board or ACT to arrange to take one of these exams. The code for Penn State that should be listed on the registration form for the SAT is #2660 and for the ACT is #3656. Generally, U.S. embassies and U.S. Information Service (USIS) offices have information on testing dates and places. Please request that your SAT or ACT test scores be sent directly to us.
Please note: Standardized tests are not required for transfer students.

Test Scores
We accept either the ACT or SAT I (both the pre-March 2016 test and its redesign), and we don’t prefer one over the other. Your scores will be used in our decision-making process, as well as for course placement and academic advising. They may also be a factor when it comes to scholarship and aid decisions. For last year's middle 50% score range, view our class profile. Don’t stress if you don’t perform as well as you’d like—this isn’t the only factor we review!
Enter your highest test scores for the ACT composite and/or the SAT total without super-scoring, along with the highest sub-scores you earned in each category regardless of test date. You don't have to take the essay portion of the SAT. You also don't have to take the writing portion of the ACT unless you're applying to a teaching licensure program.
解释:
Scores must come directly from the testing agency. When you register for the ACT or SAT, indicate that you want your scores sent to Ohio State. If you already took the test but didn't send your scores to Ohio State, you can order them for a fee. Order in advance to be sure scores reach us by the application deadline.
We must receive standardized test scores by your application deadline (either November 1 or February 1 for autumn semester applicants). Or, if you are competing for a merit scholarship, we must receive scores by the scholarship deadline.
Plan to test at least six weeks prior to deadlines to allow sufficient time for scores to be sent to Ohio State. September 8 (ACT) and October 6 (SAT) are your last 2018 test dates if you want your scores to reach Ohio State by our November 1 early action deadline.
Applicants who will have been out of high school for two or more years by their term of enrollment are not required to submit scores.
The essay is not required for either the ACT or SAT.
Ohio State looks at the highest composite score from a single test date. Taking the test (and having scores sent to us) more than once, while not required, may work to your advantage.

First-Year Applicants for Fall 2017 and Beyond
UGA accept both the SAT and the ACT. With the change in the newly designed SAT, we will not require the Optional Essay component for either the SAT or the ACT.
UGA will continue to superscore the SAT and the ACT within the respective test type (SAT I, SAT R, or ACT). In our review of SAT and ACT scores, we will continue to look at all scores, but we will focus on the Evidence-Based Reading and Writing and Math sections on the new SAT R, the Critical Reading and Math sections of the SAT I, and the English and Math sections on the ACT.

SAT/ACT scores are an optional credential and as an applicant you can decide if you want to submit your scores to GW as part of your application. If you feel your SAT or ACT scores are an accurate reflection of your academic abilities, you are welcome to submit them for consideration. There is no preference for SAT or ACT scores.
If you choose not to submit test scores, you will not be viewed negatively. Test scores are not required for consideration in special programs, such as the University Honors Program or Women’s Leadership Program, or for merit scholarships.
If you choose to submit your test scores, the Admissions Committee will consider scores in a manner that is consistent with other documents that are often submitted, such as resumes and supplemental letters of recommendation from individuals other than a teacher or counselor.
GW will accept scores from both the old version of the SAT (test administered prior to March 2016) and the redesigned SAT (offered beginning March 2016). If a student chooses to submit redesigned SAT scores, GW will consider the reading and math sections only; GW does not evaluate the writing section of the redesigned SAT or the writing section of the ACT in the admissions process.
If you submit scores from both versions of the SAT, the scores cannot be combined into a “superscore.”
Students Required to Submit Test Scores
If you are part of one of the following groups you are still required to submit SAT/ACT scores:
l Applicants to the accelerated seven-year B.A./M.D. program
l Applicants who are homeschooled
l Applicants who attended secondary schools that provide only narrative evaluations rather than some form of grading scale
l Recruited NCAA Division I athletes
解释:
3. 录取过程中不考虑SAT/ACT写作
We accept the SAT or ACT and have no preference. We do not require SAT Essay or ACT Writing. You should sit for one of these tests in the spring of your junior year to ensure that you are able to meet our November 1 Early Action application deadline for scholarship consideration.
You will self-report test scores on the application. If you are admitted and accept your offer, you will be required to provide official scores directly from the testing agency. When you apply, you are able to report best components from different test dates but will need to provide official scores for all of those you listed on the application.

UConn requires official SAT or ACT scores to be sent directly from the appropriate test provider. Scores will not be taken from school transcripts as an official score report. The writing section of the SAT or ACT is not required or used in the application process. We will combine the highest scores from each subsection of an exam to create the best overall score (within same exam formats) for exams taken more than once. Fall applicants are strongly encouraged to take the exam prior to December to assure scores are received by the application deadline of January 15. SAT or ACT scores are not required if you are 25 years or older at the time of application. Institutional Codes: SAT - 3915, ACT – 0604
解释:
3. 接受SAT/ACT拼分,
You must request that a testing agency—SAT or ACT—send us an official report of at least one set of test scores. (We do not require the SAT Essay or ACT Writing scores.) Scores included in transcripts and copies of score reports first sent to you don’t meet this requirement.
When you ask the testing agency to send your scores, use the codes the agencies have designated for the university:
SAT — 6882
ACT — 4240
Multiple Score Reports
You may submit as many score reports as you like. If you submit more than one, we will consider the score from the single test date that will benefit you the most. We will not, however, “superscore,” or combine scores from different test dates (a critical reading score from one test date with a mathematics score from another test date, for example).
We strongly encourage you to send us the results from all tests you take.
SAT Subject Tests
You are not required to submit SAT Subject Test scores as part of a complete application for admission. Some students may choose to submit these scores—for instance, home-schooled students may send them if they feel they reflect academic potential, or those hoping to earn course credit by examination may submit them for consideration after the application cycle is complete.

Scores from SAT or ACT are required for admission and must come directly from the testing agency.
The Seattle campus of the University of Washington does not recommend or require that applicants include the writing portion of either of these exams.
SAT or ACT?
The University of Washington accepts the SAT and ACT equally. There is absolutely no advantage in submitting one test over the other. If an applicant submits scores from both tests, national concordance tables determine which scores are relatively higher.
Superscoring
Superscoring refers to the practice of taking the student’s best section scores across all exam sittings to combine for the best overall score. Superscoring does not include the Writing score, which is not considered in the admission decision.
Old and new SAT
We will superscore among a student’s old sittings (pre-March 2016) and — separately — among a student’s new SAT sittings (March 2016 and after). However, we will not superscore between new and old versions of the test because the exams are not constructed the same way.
