美国再次新增8个STEM专业！更多专业毕业可留美三年！
最近，美国国际教育学会（International Education Exchange）根据《2022年美国门户开放报告》发布了一份报告。根据该报告，STEM专业仍然非常受欢迎，约有53%的国际学生选择攻读STEM专业。其中，研究生阶段的STEM专业占比为62%，本科阶段为40%。未来，STEM专业的申请竞争将变得更加激烈。
根据《联邦公报》7月12日的消息，美国国土安全部和移民局联合宣布对STEM专业范围进行修订。去年新增了22个STEM专业，而现在又新增了8个专业领域，包括建筑、机械、计算机、心理学和地理等。这意味着学生在这些专业领域也有资格申请OPT延期了！
OPT全称是Optional Practical Training，是指留学生在毕业后继续以F1学生签证身份在美国带薪实习，一般被认为是留学生在拿到H1B工作签证之前的过渡性签证。
OPT一共分为两种类型：普通OPT和STEM OPT。普通OPT的期限为12个月，而STEM OPT可以获得额外的24个月延期，共计3年。
新增的8个研究领域被纳入STEM：
