Task 2: Some people think that secondary school students should study international news as a school subject, but others argue that it would be a waste of valuable school time. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

题目分析

1、今天题目的关键词有三个：secondary school students + international news + a waste of time。对中学生来说，学习国际新闻能让学生了解国际时事，熟悉他国的政治经济文化情况，这无疑有助于开阔学生视野，尤其是在当今这个高度全球化的时代。但是，反过来，中学生的主要任务是学好基础知识，为今后的专业学习做好准备，所以增加国际新闻课程势必增加学习压力。

2、请注意题目第二个讨论点有一个限定范围：a waste of time，因此只能围绕学习国际新闻浪费学习时间来写；不能写成比如：很多中学生还没有形成自己的世界观和鉴别能力，过早地学习国际新闻甚至可能会起负面作用。这是绝对偏题的！

写作思路

Body1-讨论浪费时间的观点

1、对中学生来说，获得全球视野可能不是最重要的任务。相反，他们应该学习那些提供更基本知识和技能的课程，如数学、科学、哲学和文学。

2、在许多国家，尤其是发展中国家，许多学生都承受着沉重的课业负担。这已经导致了越来越多的学生面临各种身体和心理问题的情况。因此，再让学生学习和现阶段现阶段关系不大的课程不是明智的决定。

Body2-转折写为什么要学习国际新闻

1、通过学习国际新闻，中学生可以更好地了解他们的风俗习惯、生活方式和历史文化。学生有时候需要前往其他国家留学或旅行，这对中学生快速融入当地环境非常重要，避免出现因为文化差异而影响学习。

2、世界正变得日益全球化，其快速发展导致越来越多的跨国公司的出现。这些公司更愿意招聘那些不仅在学术上优秀，而且更是具有国际意识的毕业生。
