US News全美最佳公立高中排名介绍

每年，家长与学生们最关心的就是由US News & World Report公布的大学排名。而对于全美华人来说，全美高中排名比大学排名更加备受关注，毕竟这个排名不但关系到“学区房”，还关系到自家孩子的未来。

本周三，US News & World Report公布了2018年全美最佳高中排名，在评估全美20500所公立高中后所得出的前100名学校排名中，Bellevue International School成为了排名最高的华盛顿学校，位于全美第18位。

其中该校学生100%参与了课程考试，通过率高达94%。

位于Kirkland的International Community School在全美排名中位列35名，在州内排名中位列第二，仅次于Bellevue international school。

不过Kirkland的考试通过率虽然高达98%，但数学方面只有75%，导致CRI数值未能达到100。

高中排名的评估标准主要根据是否为所有学生提供全面服务、该校学生是否适合大学的课业有所准备。除了排名以外，US News还为各个学校分了金牌、银牌以及铜牌，夺得金牌的学校意味着该校对进入大学的准备程度最高。

而排名最靠前的学校主要在3个领域内取得了成功

今年华盛顿州共有9所学校夺得金牌，38所学校获得银牌、41所学校获得铜牌。其中Bellevue学区内有3所学校占据了金牌。

今年排行榜的前十名内依然被亚利桑那州的顶级连锁学院BASIS占据，BASIS的创始人是一对拥有博士学位的夫妻，因为不满女儿学校的教育水平于是决定自己创立学校，目的是将学生的学术水平提高到国际最高标准。

BASIS旗下有许多公立学校以及几所私立学校，由于国际学生是无法进入排行榜上的公立学校中就读，因此许多中国小留学生会选择申请BASIS的私立学校。

为了制作2018年最佳高中排名，US News & World Report今年与RTI International研究公司合作。有些公立高中因为规模太小无法分析，不得不被淘汰，因此数量也从28813所公立高中降到了20548所高中。

评估过程分为4个步骤

每个学校的学生的成绩与表现是否胜过该州学生统计学的预期

评估学校对黑人、西班牙裔以及低收入学生是否达到或者优于该州平均水平。

要求学校达到或超过毕业率基准

通过前3步评估的学校才有资格进行第4步全国性评估，主要考察大学预备表现，是否提供高质量的AP/IB课程等。

不过在评估过程中，South Dakota是唯一一个没有在第4步给US News开绿灯的州，由于没有学校AP数据，South Dakota的学校无法进行最后一步评估。

第4步会根据学校的AP/IB课程参与率以及考试率来计算出CRI数值——College Readiness Index。CRI最大值为100，也就是在2015-16年期间，每个12年级的学生都在某所学校接受并通过了至少一次AP或IB考试。

2018年全美平均CRI为21.51，US News会根据学校的CRI值将得分最高的学校评为金、银、铜 3个级别。今年有26所金牌高中的CRI最高值达到100。
