每年的五月份,是美国大学理事会主持的AP考试时间,共有22个专业37个学科的考试,美国高中生可以根据自己的情况选择考试。
我选的AP人文考试,目前的教学正进行模拟考试,里面占很大一部分的是两篇作文。
其中占分比较多的作文叫DBQ。
我们会拿到1个问题和与问题相关的7篇短文件。
写作文时间总共是60分钟。
在这段时间里我们必须研究完所有的文章,再利用这些文章做为证据来回答问题。
如果想得个好分的话,除了这些,我们还要提供现有资料之外的证据来支持我们的论点。
这很困难,因为要记住那么多信息,再在有限的时间里把它写出来是很难的。
今天我们在课上就写了这样一篇文章。
我其实对它还挺有信心的,首先因为问题所问的内容我很熟悉,其次因为前几次写这样的作文时我都拿到了满分。
希望在真正的AP考试时我也能发挥好。
Every May is when the college board hold the AP exams.
The students can take the tests according to their choices.
I chose the AP World History test.
Right now, we’re prepping for it.
A large portion of the test score comes from two essays.
The one that’s worth more points is called the DBQ, where we get a question and 7 short documents concerning the question.
We get a total of 60 minutes to analyze the documents, and use them as evidence to answer the essay question.
If we wanted to get a good score, then other than these documents, we also have to provide evidence beyond the documents, the information that we know to support our argument.
It’s hard, because we have to memorize so much information, and then write them out in a very limited amount of time.
Today we wrote an essay like that.
I’m actually pretty confident about this essay, firstly because I’m quite familiar with the information behind the essay question, and secondly because I’ve gotten full credit on the previous times we’ve done these essays.
I do hope I perform as well on the actual AP exam.
