BBO学术活动最初是给英国高中生准备的，从2016年起，ASDAN中国（阿思丹学院）首次将该学术活动引入中国。优胜者除了可以直接获得英国生物奥赛金银铜牌，还可以大大增加世界名校医学、生物等理工科专业申请优势，获奖者还将有机会获得国际顶级科学类活动邀请。
据官方消息，2020 年，共有 243 所国际高中和重点中学的代表参与了该活动。下一次学术活动时间：2022年4月9日（周六），13：00-14:30（90分钟）报名截止时间：2022年3月30 日
