如何利用寒假准备标准化考试？

今天我们来聊聊标准化考试以及如何利用寒假的时间来准备！标准化考试或标准化测验 (Standardized Tests) 包括: SAT、ACT、托福 (TOEFL)、雅思 (IELTS)、AP考试等。

01识别自己的弱点

Identify Your WeaknessesPay attention to what you have been struggling with in your studies.

Whether it is vocabulary or speed reading, chances are if you currently find something difficult, it will remain a problem when you take the standardized test if you do nothing about it.

Therefore to score high, you will first need to identify your weaknesses, so you will have something to target later on in your preparation process.

在日常学习中关心一下自己平时的薄弱点。无论你是词汇量不足还是阅读速度不够快，要是你已经遇到这种困难并且不采取任何措施来解决它，那在将来的标准化考试上你还是会遇到同样的困难。

所以如果想要取得优异的成绩，首先需要识别自己本身就有的弱点

才能针对性地解决。

02设一个目标

Set a GoalAfter identifying your weaknesses, you should already have a vague idea of what you are/are not capable of.

Keep your capabilities in mind while you set a goal for yourself. Your bar should be feasible but not too low and high enough but not unrealistic.

Keeping a specific goal in mind will make the preparation process more efficient and effective.

当你已经认识了自己的薄弱点后，你应该对自己的能力已经有了一个大概的理解。有了这个自知自明后，你可以为自己量身定做一个适合自己的目标 (不要把这个目标设的太高或太低)。

这个目标会让你更加有动力并提高效果和效率。

03定一个学习计划

Construct a Study PlanConstruct a study plan tailored to your goals, weaknesses, and available resources. It should be rigorous yet achievable.

After planning out your study schedule, be sure to follow it without slack or else it will decieve the entire purpose.

反思一下自己的目标、弱点和已有的资源然后定一个实际的学习计划。定完学习计划后一定要好好的按照你规划的来做，否则不会达到理想的效果。

04学习考试技巧

Learn Test-Taking TechniquesMost tests require strategic test-taking techniques in order to score high on them. If you are a slow reader, buy a couple tool books or search online for techniques to improve your reading speed.

大部分的标准化考试都是需要一定的

考试技巧才能取得优异的成绩。如果你的阅读速度不够快，你可以考虑买几本书或上网查一些关于如何提高阅读速度的资料来帮助你提高。

05刷题

Practice, Practice, Practice!As the old adage goes: practice makes perfect. With your newly-acquired test-taking strategies in mind, get used to employing them by completing respective practice questions.

More practice allows you to complete the test with higher accuracy and less time.

当你学会一些考试技巧后，你可以用刷题的方法练习这些技巧的运用。你题目刷的越是多，你的准确率和速度会跟着一起往上升的趋势走。

06报名一个补习班

Sign Up for a ClassThough this last option is not required, it is still advised to take a couple of classes for achieving maximum results. If time and money allows, sign up for a course that will provide extended outside help to your preparations.
