美国化学奥赛是面向中学生的多层级选拔赛。在国家赛排名前四名的学生将代表美国参加国际化学奥赛。

Local Chemistry Olympiad Competitions (地方赛)是美国化学奥赛的初级选拔赛。美国化学会上海分会负责承办USNCO在中国地方赛的举办。受疫情影响，2022年地方赛将采取线上考试的形式，考试内容仍然采取选择题形式。

报名须知:

1. 地方赛无国籍限制，为激励学生学习化学的热情，ACS上海分会将为参加地方赛的学生排名，评选一、二、三等奖。受考试平台席位制约，如不能保证每位感兴趣的学生参与，敬请谅解。

2. 仅符合下列条件的优胜者才可以参加国家赛。

Eligible students must be U.S. Citizens, enrolled in an American school* for at least one year, and under the age of 20.

* American school is defined as a school accredited by either the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools (MSACS), the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC), the North Central Association of Schools and Colleges (NCASC), or the Northwest Association of College and Schools (NACS)

3. 学生报名需经学校化学指导老师认可，并在报名时提供指导老师姓名和联系方式。

2022 U.S. National Chemistry Olympiad (USNCO) is coming!

The U.S. National Chemistry Olympiad is a multi-tiered chemistry competition. The top four students of the national competition represent the United States in the annual International Chemistry Olympiad.

The Local Chemistry Olympiad Competitions is the first step in the U.S. National Chemistry Olympiad. ACS Shanghai Chapter coordinators oversee the administration of ACS Local Exam in China. In light of the continued uncertainty caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, both the Local Competitions and the National Exams will be offered virtually in 2022.

How to register:

1.Students of all nationalities can take the Local Exams and in order to stimulate young people to achieve excellence in chemistry, First, Second and Third Prize certificates will be presented to the excellent students in the Local Exams. However only eligible students can be selected and attend the National Exam.

Eligible students must be U.S. Citizens, enrolled in an American school* for at least one year, and under the age of 20.
