Description

Apple's CoreOS organisation is looking for anexceptional engineer to support and develop tools. For this position you needto work with multiple software teams to make sure all the software (BIOS, FWs,Mac OS X, diags, tools, etc.) in Macintosh system (Macbook Pro/Air, iMac, Macmini, etc.) works well in all of the developing phases, including live debug inline, working with all software related teams to root cause and fix issues, anddeveloping debug tools and new software functionality.

Requirements

Have relevant work experience in PC industry(notebook, desktop, server platform or embedded system)

Have development and debugging experience onat least one platform

Have development or debugging experience inEFI BIOS/Linux Kernel developing/EC FWs/Solaris or other UNIX/Windows/Mac OS X.

Self-motivated and willing to take onresponsibility, passion for work is very important

Good at communication in English and Mandarin

Excellent team player

Willing to travel and work in factory

PositionOverview

Apple is looking for dynamic, highly-motivatedcandidates who “think differently” to further expand the China- basedSDM, SDE teams. This team will be working on Apple’s latest and greatestproducts while incorporating and improving upon the strategies that are centralto the world’s greatest supply chain.

SDM–The China Supply Demand Planner will be the voice of Apple’s worldwide customersto the production and operations teams in China. As the bridge between Apple’sheadquarters and Apple’s Asia Operations team and OEM partners, this personwill own the execution of supply plans within one or more OEM productionfacilities to meet Apple’s customer demand requirements.

This person will actas focal point in the development, communication, and execution of a factory’sdaily product supply and contingency plans and will track and drive to achieveweekly targets while working with WW and regional SDM teams.

SDE–The China Supply Demand Execution team providesworldwide support for three regional SDE groups (Americas, Europe, and Asia),while based in Shanghai, China. This team ensures proper product allocationexecution through the matching of supply and demand between multipledistribution sites while following direction provided by regional SDE teams.The overall mission is to own and implement the efficient execution of allocationplans, to ensure that all shipments occur as required to meet Apple’s billingsplans and financial goals, while ensuring customer satisfaction.

Support the trial run during UATo Training materialdocumentation

4 projects has been defined as following,

SPT Enhancement (Supply Planning Tool) 4.0 and4.5

PSD Enhancement roll out

Specialist BI report roll out

Education / Experiences

The successful candidate will preferably majorin supply chain management or statistics.

The candidate must have good analytic skilland strong data sensitivity.

The candidate must be able to exert tactfulinfluence in a matrixed

organization while working as part of a teamand consistently utilizing strong verbal and written communication skills.

Candidate should be comfortable presenting tosenior management.

Additional requirements include the ability tothink strategically and execute tactically, a persistent

attention to detail, and a high level ofcomfort in working with numbers.

Strong Excel, SAP/ERP background preferred.

BA/BS required; MBA preferred.
