At Shanghai American School, we have an enviable Artistsin Residence program. But there’s one program, designed by and for SAS, where the artists in residence are our own students.

在上海美国学校，我们拥有一个令人羡慕的艺术家驻场项目。不过，上海美国学校还为自己的学生们设计了另外一个项目。在这个项目中，驻场艺术家就是我们自己的学生。

A.i.R Jingdezhen, one of the signature programs at SAS, enables middle school students from the Pudong campus to visit Jingdezhen in China’s Jiangxi Province. Jingdezhen is known as the Porcelain Capital, and here, students spend an experiential week talking with local artists, planning their projects, and documenting their journey along the way. The students are enriched with new techniques and knowledge of the area’s history, and the rest of the world is enriched with at least one new piece of original art.

作为上海美国学校的标志性项目之一，“艺术家驻场景德镇”项目让上海美国学校浦东校区的中学生能够参观中国江西省景德镇。景德镇是著名的“瓷都”。学生们会进行为一周的体验，与当地艺术家交流，规划他们的项目，记录他们的旅程。学生们学到了新技巧，了解了当地的历史，制作出了原创艺术作品。
