12月24日平安夜，融合部小学上演了2018年新年戏剧——《绿毛怪格林奇》。
On Christmas Eve, Monday 24th December, the Primary Department presented the 2018 Christmas Play: 'How the Grinch Stole Christmas!'

我们从各个年级挑选了优秀的小演员们，在表演过程中，“演员”们以熟练的台词、丰富的表情、富有创意的动作，为观众们奉献了三场精彩的演出。
Student Actors from all grades took part, performing three shows entirely in English.
新年戏剧讲述了刻薄的绿毛怪格林奇，为了破坏新年的欢乐气氛，策划偷走整个节日，但渐渐地，他被一个纯真的小女孩所感化。
The story is about a mean spirited Grinch who only understands the meaning of Christmas after receiving kindness from a small child.
最后，新年戏剧的真正意义，也随之揭示开来：无关礼物、无关金钱、甚至无关形式，而是一个与家人欢聚一堂，分享喜悦的节日，也是一个奉献给予的节日。
It has a message which helps us all to realise that the festive season is all about spending time with family, and giving and sharing.

我们的家长合唱团——天空合唱团首次惊艳亮相，为大家带来一首传统新年颂歌《平安夜》，以此拉开了戏剧的帷幕，欢快优美的歌声传递出庆祝节日的喜悦心情；爱乐乐团表演了一曲爵士歌，动感十足，观众们仿佛置身于童话故事中。
Before the play, the parent choir sang 'Silent Night', a traditional carol and the student band played a jazzy Christmas tune.
唱诗班为我们带来了经典歌曲，把美好的祝愿送给每一个人。两组舞蹈团表演了精彩的原创舞蹈，舞姿灵动轻盈，舞出了喜悦与欢快。
Choir club gave an excellent rendition of 'We Wish You a Merry Christmas' and two different groups of dancers (dressed as Santa Claus and Elves) performed original dance ensembles.

戏剧的最后一场演出邀请了家长们和融小的师生们，他们用笑声和掌声享受着我们融小孩子们在舞台上的每一个精彩瞬间!
The final showing of the play was to parents and teachers, who laughed, applauded and enjoyed every moment of our primary school spectactular!

本次戏剧的成功，离不开各个方面的支持与配合，各个班级的学生都参与了舞台布景和服装设计的环节，为本剧增亮添彩。融小的各个社团还负责筹办了摊位上有各种好吃好玩的集市，别提多热闹了。
A Christmas play needs a lot of support . Students from various classes have been involved in set and costume design, creating a Christmas market place full of snacks and goodies.
